Naomi Campbell may be going back to court. She hasn’t hit anyone this time…yet…lol. The British supermodel is being sued by her fragrance marketing company, Moodform Mission, for breach of contract. The fragrances that she is being sued for are Naomi Campbell, Cat Deluxe and Seductive Elixir. The marketing company alleges that Campbell kept millions of dollars in profits from them.
According the lawsuit, filed on October 26, 2009 in New York Supreme Court, Campbell made millions of dollars from the sale of the fragrances and cosmetic products that were conceptualized, created, developed and marketed with the help of Moodform Mission.
Moodform Mission acknowledges that Campbell sent regular payments from 2001 and 2008, but claims that the payments abruptly ended. Moodform Mission also claims that Campbell broke the contract with without any justification and started selling her products under a different licensing agreement. “We think what happened is she just decided to keep all the money for herself and not share it anymore,” said Daniel Bright, an attorney for Moodform Mission. “There was nothing precipitating it.” A representative from Campbell’s camp says that the supermodel “categorically denies the allegations made by Moodform Mission.”
